Galway Races betting to hit €100m

Around €100m will be gambled this week as 140,000 punters head west for the week-long Galway Races, which runs from today until August 5.

The city of the tribes is buzzing at any time of the year, but, in peak summer, the Galway Arts Festival and the Galway Races ensure it’s at the pinnacle of craziness.
