Lord Mayor hits out at TD's criticism of 'cost rental' housing estate in Dublin

Dublin's Lord Mayor has hit out at a local TD's criticism of a 'cost rental' housing estate in Inchicore in Dublin.
470 homes would be built under the project at St Michael's estate and feature a mixture of social units and properties for rent at low costs.
Catherine Byrne has gone against party colleague and Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy by saying the plan won't work.
However, Lord Mayor Nial Ring criticised her comments and asked whether Minister Byrne wants the site to go back to its old use as a place for grazing sheep.
Listening to junior Minister today criticising St Michael’s estate plan for 472 housing units I wonder does she want Inchicore to revert to its old use as a place for grazing sheep and from which it gets its anglicised name of Inchicore( Inse Chór - Island of the Sheep)
