Over 500 on trolleys across Ireland this morning

There are 509 people on trolleys across the country this morning.

This is an increase of 26% on the same day last year when there were 404 patients on trolleys.

Cork University Hospital has the highest number of waiting patients with 44, followed closely by Tallaght Hospital with 44.

Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore has 35 people on trolleys.
