Update 1pm: Gardaí say they are now satisfied that a knife was not produced following an alleged assault on a late-night cinema goer in Cork's Mahon Point shopping centre on Friday night.

Sources confirmed today that following a detailed review of CCTV footage, there is no evidence to suggest the suspect brandished a knife.
