Almost 600 on trolleys across Ireland this morning

Almost 600 people are lying on trolleys in hospitals across the country today.

591 people are waiting for a bed.

Cork University Hospital has the highest rate with 51 people waiting for access to a ward.

This is followed by University Hospital Galway at 42 and South Tipperary General Hospital at 39.
