Court hears claims man took part in a ’carefully planned, targeted, murderous attack’ at Regency Hotel

A shooting at the Regency Hotel in Dublin almost two years ago during which one man died was a "resourced, carefully planned, targeted, murderous attack", the Special Criminal Court has heard.

Patrick Hutch has this afternoon gone on trial at the non-jury court, charged with murdering David Byrne, 34, during a boxing weigh-in at the hotel.
