Alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco thought to be worth almost €5,000 have been seized at Dublin Port.

Alcohol, cigarettes and tobacco thought to be worth almost €5,000 have been seized at Dublin Port.

Revenue officers seized 278 litres of alcohol, 1,820 cigarettes and 1kg of tobacco.

They were hidden in a Latvian registered van and a Polish registered truck that arrived on a ferry from Holyhead.

Two men in their thirties and forties have been questioned.
