There are 363 people waiting for beds at hospitals around the country this afternoon.

According to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 53 people are waiting in Limerick University Hospital, with 23 people on trolleys and 30 patients in overflow wards.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
