A peaceful protest has taken place outside City Hall in solidarity with the Apollo House sit-in in Dublin.

The Home Sweet Home Cork movement has organised today's protest to show their support for the occupiers of the building who are in the High Court seeking permission to stay longer.

<p> Volunteers attending the DMax 7.7 fitness event, in honour of Darragh McCarthy, who tragically passed away last year at just 21 years of age. The sold-out fitness event saw over 300 competitors take on DMax 7.7 featuring seven fitness stations, lasting seven minutes per station with a two minute transition between station. Competitors entered in teams of two and tested their strength, endurance and mental resilience across a series of challenges including rope skipping, ski-erg, medicine ball, assault bike, rowing, burpee box jumps and wall balls.
