Irish woman in critical condition following Australian plane crash

An Irish woman is reported to be in a critical condition after a plane crash in Australia.

It is understood a British woman died when the light aircraft they were in came down in Queensland yesterday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is aware of the crash and is providing consular assistance to the Irish woman's family.
