Irish Rail warns safety of network at risk if €500m is not made available

Irish Rail says the safety of the network could be compromised if additional funding of €500m isn't made over the next five years.

Irish Rail and the National Transport Authority have this evening published a review of the rail service – which says it will need an extra €103m every year over the next five years.
