Gardaí arrest two men in connection with 2012 Laois murder

Gardaí in Co Laois have arrested two men in connection with a murder four years ago.

27-year-old Gerard Eglington was shot in the Kilnacourt Woods Housing Estate in Portarlington on the morning of September 24, 2012.

Today two men, aged 21 and 34, were arrested as part of that investigation.

Both are being detained at Portlaoise garda station for questioning under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
