Man in hospital following Dublin shooting last night

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a shooting in Dublin last night.

The victim remains in hospital this morning with what is believed to be upper body injures.

The man in his 30s was shot in the residential area of Cherry Orchard Court at around 8.20pm last night.

The injured man has been taken by ambulance to St James's Hospital where his injuries are thought to be non life threatening.

Gardaí from Ballyfermot attended the scene which is being preserved for a technical examination.

No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.

Gardai are appealing for any one with information to contact them.
