Revenue’s Customs Officers seized €200,000 worth of cannabis and cocaine during a house search in Limerick today.

Some 6kg of cannabis herb and 1.2kg of cocaine was discovered when, as part of an intelligence-led, joint operation involving Revenue, the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Limerick Divisional Drug Units and Detective Units, a house was searched in Croom, Co Limerick.

A 37-year-old man was arrested by gardaí in Limerick.

He is currently being detained at Henry Street Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug trafficking Act 1996.

Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.
