The Central Statistics Office has launched a new tool to help give clarity on property prices.
The online facility uses eircodes to allow users pinpoint all transactions in a particular area for the previous 12 months.
It allows house hunters or those selling property to accurately compare sale prices in their area.
The CSO says it aims to give a localised overview of the residential market.
"There's also information on the number of houses sold in an eircode routing key," said CSO senior statistician.
"By looking at the type of buyer, whether it's a first-time buyer, a former owner-occupier, or a non-occupier.
"And there's also information there on whether the dwellings are new or existing dwellings."
