Gardaí are asking for witnesses to a hit-and-run in Dublin in which a man in his 20s was injured.

The collision happened at Mount Olive Park, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5 last Monday (September 26) shortly before 11am.

The man, who is in his mid 20s, was struck by a small, grey-coloured car that failed to stop.

The pedestrian received medical assistance from ambulance staff at the scene and was taken to Beaumont Hospital with minor injuries.

It is believed that a member of the public, possibly driving behind the hit-and-run car at the time of the collision, may have stopped and given assistance to the injured man.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone one with information - particularly those who may have stopped at the scene or attended to the injured man - to contact them at Raheny Garda Station on 01 666 4300, the Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any garda station.
