Young man dies in overnight car crash

A man in his 20s has died in a crash in Co Louth.

Gardaí say the single vehicle collision happened at 10.30pm last night at Carstown, Termonfeckin.

A second man in his late teens, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital with minor injuries.

The road is closed for a forensic examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
