Cash found concealed in truck

Gardaí have seized approximately €100,000 in cash after stopping and searching a vehicle in Dublin.

Officers from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, assisted by the newly-formed Special Crime Task Force, stopped and searched a truck at the M50 roundabout at Junction 4, Ballymun, shortly before midnight last night.

They discovered a significant amount of cash concealed in the vehicle.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He was questioned at Ballymun Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act but has since been released without charge.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.
