Gardaí charge two men in connection with Waterville post office robbery

Two men have been charged in connection with a robbery at a post office in Waterville, Co. Kerry, on Wednesday, August 3.
The men, aged 32 and 46, are due to appear at Killarney District Court this evening.
The robbery, which happened at 11.15am on Wednesday, saw gardaí fire warning shots as they chased three men who had taken a quantity of cash.
The three-man gang left in a small blue car, which they abandoned a short time later. They got into a second vehicle and travelled along a maze of back roads in the direction of Killarney.
The men's car, 03 D navy blue Mazda, crashed in the Beaufort area of Killarney, and two people were arrested. One man is still at large.
A garda car was repeatedly rammed in the incident, and two gardaí were injured.
A woman in her late 20s, was arrested on Thursday in connection with the investigation and remains in Garda custody at Killarney Garda Station.
