A 44-year-old man has gone missing from St. James’ Hospital in Dublin.

John Shanley was last seen at the hospital shortly after 10am this morning.

He is described as five feet 11inches tall, with receding sandy hair going grey at the sides and blue/green eyes.

He has a two inch surgical scar on his head and is suffering from memory loss.

When last seen he was wearing a navy jumper, navy blue jeans and a white short sleeved shirt.

Gardaí are concerned for John's safety and are asking for anyone who can help find him is to contact Kilmainham Garda Station on 01-6669700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
