Police investigating after three protected birds of prey poisoned in Antrim

The PSNI is appealing for information after three birds of prey were found dead by poisoning.

A peregrine falcon and two buzzards, all of which were protected, were found in county Antrim in recent weeks.

Test results have shown that two of the birds were poisoned with Carbofuran poisoning and one with Alpha Chloralose.

The PSNI's wildlife liaison officer has said the poisons can affect a child, family pet, or anyone who comes into contact with it.

Anyone with information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
