Shots were fired at two different homes in a housing estate in Co Meath last night.

Gardaí say that no one was injured. The gunshots were fired at two houses in Woodview Heights in Dunboyne at around 11.30pm.

A short time later a fire was reported at a house in Co Kildare.

Two people were taken from the house in Broadford and arrested by Gardaí.

It is not yet known if there is a link between the incidents.
