19-year-old stabbed in Tipperary

A teenager has been stabbed in a takeaway in Nenagh county Tipperary.

The 19-year-old, who was working in the shop on Clare street, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital in the town.

He was attacked at about 1.20pm this afternoon and a 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault.

The arrested man is being detained at Nenagh Garda Station tonight.
