Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal car accident in Kildare

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a crash which killed an 18-year-old on the Offaly-Kildare border yesterday.

The single-car incident happened sometime between the hours of 12 midnight and 2pm yesterday afternoon, on the Carbury to Edenderry Road.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Naas General Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information, particularly those who travelled the R402 between Carbury and Edenderry during the hours of 12 midnight and 2pm yesterday, to contact them at Leixlip Garda Station.
