Lucinda Creighton 'does not miss Fine Gael'

Lucinda Creighton has said she does not miss Fine Gael.

The Renua Ireland leader left the party after voting against the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Legislation after a free vote was refused.

Enda Kenny has now promised a free vote in the next Dáil if the issue of the 8th amendment is to be dealt with.

Deputy Creighton has said she has now put Fine Gael behind her: “I think, for me, that’s history and we are looking forward and excited about the election in 2016,

“We just want to get on with it and for me, Fine Gael is a chapter of history that is very firmly closed.”
