Young child dies in road crash

A young child has died following a crash in county Fermanagh this afternoon.

The seven-year-old boy was involved in an incident at Lattone Road in Belcoo at about 1pm.

He was taken from the scene by ambulance under police escort to South West Acute Hospital, where he passed away.

The main Garrison to Belcoo Road was closed and diversions put in place.

Investigating Police Officers have thanked local people for their patience and are appealing to anyone with information to contact them at Enniskillen station.
