Security alert issued in Derry

A security alert is in place near Dungiven in Derry.

Police are advising people living in or travelling through Feeney to be vigilant following claims that an explosive device has been left in the area.

A warning relating to the Carnanbane Road area was passed to police last night.

An alert was issued after a jogger spotted an object while out for a run.

Anyone who spots an unusual object in the area is asked to call 999 immediately.
