Unions and management at Roche plant in Clare to meet today
Unions and management at the Roche plant in Co Clare are to meet today to discuss the future of jobs at the factory.
The parent company announced last week that it was ending manufacturing at the plant in Clarecastle, which employs 240 people.
The Clarecastle plant is one of four plants being closed by the company. The other three are in Spain, Italy and the United States.
Roche has said it wants to sell the operation as a going concern in order to protect as many jobs as possible.
SIPTU has said its members are prepared to assist in making sure the factory remains viable.
