Gardaí appeal for witnesses after M50 accident leaves woman fighting for life
Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for witnesses to this morning's crash on the M50 which has left a 47-year-old woman critically ill in hospital.
The crash happened at around 5.30am on the southbound motorway, close to junction 7, Lucan.
The woman was alone in the car which collided with two trucks.
The truck drivers, aged 33 and 47, were unhurt.
The crash caused massive delays on the M50 and surrounding areas.

CEO of the Marie Keating Foundation Liz Yeates said she was in her car for more than four hours.
"I left my house at 7.45am in Goatstown and I wa sgoing northbound to Lucan and it took me four and three quarter hours. I came across four different cars that were stopped on the motorway," she said.
"A lot of people were very stressed because they were missing meetings or couldn’t get to where they were due to be going, but there was nothing you could do - there was no way back."
M50 southbound has just reopened at J7 Lucan. The on-ramps from the N4 to the M50 southbound remain closed while they clean the road surface
