A new commemorative centre is being developed at Moore Street in central Dublin.

Numbers 14 to 17 Moore Street were declared a National Monument in 2007.

Number 16 was the final headquarters of the leaders of the 1916 Rising before they surrendered.

Arts and Heritage Minister Heather Humphreys has described the project as a very important element of the Government's plans for the 1916 centenary commemorations.
