Businessman Bobby Kerr urges other to get checked after being diagnosed with cancer

Businessman and broadcaster Bobby Kerr has revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

He announced this morning that he is receiving treatment for cancer in his head and neck.

Kerr said after fundraising for cancer charities in the past he never thought he would be one of the 35,000 diagnosed every year.

He said that the disease has been caught early and is encouraging other people to get themselves checked.

Bobby has featured on two seasons of Dragons' Den and is the Chairman of Insomnia Coffee.

Bobby has said though his health has taken a hit - he is remaining positive.

"I believe that life is absolutely for living, in my life tips, which I give when public speaking, tip 3, I just want to share it with you know because it says only three things in life matter and they are as follows, health, family and friends.

"Nothing else actually matters, if we look at those as a three-legged barstool, I’ve taken a bit of ahit on the health leg, but the other two are stronger than ever.”
