Abortion Pill Bus tour ends with pro-choice rally in Dublin

A pro-choice rally has taken place in Dublin city today.

Campaigners who have been travelling around Ireland on the Abortion Pill Bus have held a demonstration outside the Central Bank.

The bus previously stopped in the cities of Galway, Limerick and Cork yesterday and today, before it made its way back to Dublin.

Pro-choice activists are led by ROSA (for Reproductive rights, against Oppression, Sexism and Austerity), which is promoting an online service that prescribes women with abortion pills.

Groups campaigning for the 8th Amendment to be removed from our constitution took part in today's rally.

The 8th Amendment gives equal right to life to the unborn as that of the mother.

Dublin TD for the Anti Austerity Alliance Ruth Coppinger, travelled around on the bus this weekend.

The Pro-life campaign says the people on the Abortion Pill Bus are irresponsible, and Deputy Chairperson of the The Pro-Life Campaign, Cora Sherlock, said abortion pills are illegal in Ireland.
