Gardaí on patrol uncover massive drugs haul after 'spotting suspicious activity'
Gardaí have seized more than €800,000 worth of cannabis during a number of searches in Tallaght and Blanchardstown in Dublin yesterday.
Officers from the Burglary Response Unit out on patrol stopped and searched a van in Tallaght after they observed suspicious activity.
Nine kilos of cannabis herb, with a street value of around €180,000, was found and a man was arrested.
He is being held at Tallaght Garda Station.
A further €640,000 worth of cannabis was found during follow-up searches at a premises in Blanchardstown.
