Murder investigation launched into death of Dundalk taxi driver

A murder investigation has been launched into the death of Dundalk taxi driver Martin Mulligan.

53 year old Mr Mulligan was discovered near his silver/beige coloured Skoda Octavia at Carnmore, Kilcurry County Louth in the early hours of this morning.

Described as a family man from Dundalk town - Gardaí say they've yet to establish a motive for Mr Mulligan's killing.

House to house inquiries are being carried out - while officers are also liasing with the PSNI as part of the investigation.
