An official report has found that Enda Kenny did not sack the Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan and that the former commissioner himself decided to retire of his own accord.

But, the report from the Fennelly Commission has said that the decision to send a senior civil servant to Martin Callinan's home was the "catalyst" for his retirement last year.
