Fifth person arrested after Kildare shooting

A fith person has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Co Kildare last Friday.

The man in his 30s was arrested this morning in Co Kildare and is being held at Naas Garda station.

Gardaí also recovered four firearms, a quantity of ammunition and controlled drugs during on-going searches in the Athy area.

The man detained this morning, another man and one woman are being questioned by Gardai, while a teenager and a juvenile have been released without charge.

Jason Doogue was shot dead outside his house in Greenhills Estate Athy last Friday.
