Lack of interest sees Government scrap €40 'Certificate of Irish Heritage'

A scheme offering certificates of Irishness is to be dropped because of a poor uptake.

Since its launch four years ago, less than 3,000 people were willing to part with 40 euro for a Certificate of Irish Heritage.
