Man arrested for Kells shooting

A man has been arrested following a shooting in Kells, Co. Meath.

A house was shot at in the Archdeaconery area on Saturday afternoon.

Today a man in his late 40s was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being held at Kells Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

A firearm has also been recovered in a follow up search in the Carrick Street area in Kells.
