Rumours delayed campaign to help my little girl walk: Cork mum
A Cork mother has told of her struggle to raise money to send her daughter to the US for treatment to allow her walk after false rumours started that the fundraising charity was involved in fraud.
Katie Byrne, who has cerebral palsy, was seven years old at the time. Her parents Antoinette (McLoughlin) and Rob, from Cobh, began the Katie’s Dream to Walk charity in 2013 to fund treatment in the US to allow her to walk.
