HSE orders full review into nine maternity cases
A HSE review into maternity services at Portlaoise, University Hospital Limerick and the Midland Regional Hospital has recommended a full review of nine out of 28 cases.
Dr Peter Boylan's chart reviews began after a number of families contacted a helpline set up after an RTÉ programme on the deaths of a number of babies at Portlaoise hospital.

It looked at 28 cases from 1985 to 2013 and found there were possible issues relating to the care of the patients.
It has recommended that nine cases be subjected to a full systems analysis review.
