Man seriously ill in hospital after rescue off Donegal coast

A man has been rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital after he fell overboard off a fishing boat this afternoon.

He was one of two men working on a lobster boat off Horn Head in Donegal this afternoon when the accident occurred.

The RNLI Lough Swilly launched a search and rescue operation and were able to pull the man from the water.

His condition is not yet known, but he is said to be seriously ill.
