Twitter reports high turnout as voting begins

Polling is underway at stations across the country and, if Twitter is to be believed, there has been a healthy turnout as people vote on the Marriage Equality and Presidential Age Referendums.

The polls opened this morning at 7am and there have been reports of busier-than-usual stations with queues forming from 6.45 onwards - with the word 'unprecedented' being thrown around by a few.
