The Jobs and Enterprise Minister has said that he was unaware of a bill for half a million euro demanded by Irish Water from a whiskey distillery that wants to expand in Carlow.

The Jobs and Enterprise Minister has said that he was unaware of a bill for half a million euro demanded by Irish Water from a whiskey distillery that wants to expand in Carlow.

Walsh Whiskey Distillery said that they were granted a licence and they will pay for water charges, but not the extra €500,000 for an upgrade of a water treatment plant.
