Ahern and Cowen still in receipt of €80k ministerial pensions

Former Taoisigh Bertie Ahern and Brian Cowen are still receiving ministerial pensions worth over €80,000 a year.

It has been confirmed that the former Fianna Fáil leaders are both taking home €80,810 a year in ministerial pensions, even after they pay the pension levy.

The figure does not include the Dáil pensions received by both of around €40,000 a year.
