Irish naval ship made ready to assist in Mediterranean migrant crisis

Irish naval vessel the LE Eithne has completed preparations sail to the Mediterranean, where it will take part in a mission to prevent further migrant ship tragedies.

The Naval Service ship is on standby, and is expected to sail by the middle of next week.
