Bruton not selected at FG election convention

Minister Richard Bruton was not slected to run for the General Election in the Dublin Bay North Selection convention this evening.

Cllr. Naoise Ó Muirí and Stephanie Regan were selected to represent Fine Gael in the Dublin Bay North constituency.

However the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, was not selected for the same constituency.

A unanimous motion was passed on the night by members to add Minister Bruton, and he is expected to be added by the Fine Gael Executive Council on Friday.

Councillor Naoise Ó Múirí was first elected to Dublin City Council in 2004 and he has served on the council since.

Stephanie Regan has been working as a Fine Gael Local Area Representative since last year.
