Donohoe hopes to resume talks on bus dispute

The Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe is urging all sides in the Dublin Bus and Bus Éireann row to go back around the talks table.

Drivers at both companies will hold seven days of strike action next month, hitting both bank holiday weekends in a row over plans to privatise 10% of bus routes.

Unions have said they have not received enough reassurances from the companies, National Transport Authority and the Department of Transport, over a number of issues including workers terms and conditions.

Donohoe has said the only way to resolve this is to return to the Labour Relations Commission.
