Man assaulted after being stopped by fake Garda car

Gardaí in Co Meath are investigating after a man was assaulted in a car hi-jacking incident in Trim, it has emerged.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was stopped by a fake Garda car at Connell's Cross, in the early hours of Thursday morning.
