Gardaí issue appeal for car seen near hit-and-run that killed toddler
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to the hit-and-run that killed a two-year-old girl on the North Road, Phoenix Park, yesterday evening.
The little girl, named today as Vanessa Siatka from Blanchardstown, was knocked down at approximately 6.30pm yesterday evening. She was rushed to Temple Street Hospital, but did not survive the night.
Gardaí in Cabra are particularly interested in hearing about a car, a 02-D registration green Toyota Corolla, driving erratically before the incident.
They say it may have been seen near the Visitors Centre or in the general Phoenix Park area.
A 24-year-old man was arrested after the incident and remains in custody at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
