Man dies in early-morning road accident in Cork

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic accident at Old Chapel, Bandon, Co Cork.

The single-car crash happened shortly before 7.45am this morning

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road is closed to facilitate a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
